Wedding of Dawn & Benjamin – 1st October 2011

Thornham Collection
Dawn & Benjamin first had sight of 'I Do' Wedding Design's stationery when they received an invitation for a friend's wedding. Impressed with what they were seeing and thinking of their own forthcoming nuptials, they contacted the 'I Do...' team after a firm recommendation from their friend.
Dawn & Benjamin had already viewed the collections online, and knew exactly what they wanted. The theme was to be black and white with added sparkle. After discussing the full requirements the 'I Do' team created a sample from the Thornham collection. An Ebony Metallic pocketfold gave the black with a touch of shimmer, the printed invitation was on a crisp white card, and it was finished with a classic black Damask illustration.
Thrilled with the sample, the team made a few tweaks to the wording until the design had full approval from Dawn & Benjamin. Each invitation and RSVP were personalised with guests names...Dawn then stamped her own personal touch by adding little diamante appliques to the Damask illustration, for a really luxurious finish! The final piece was stunning.
To follow the theme through to the reception, 'I Do' also created co-ordinating place cards, table names (Benjamin is an avid Liverpool fan and stood his ground by naming the tables after his favourite players) and table planner which looked magnificent on the solid A Frame at Southwood Hall.

Wedding of Sharon & Paul - 20th August 2010

Sandringham Collection
When Sharon and Paul got in touch after seeing my designs at the EDP Wedding Show 2010, I knew that this project was going to be exciting. We discussed many options, as Sharon was very keen on maintaining the right style and tone from the invitations all the way through to her reception. The final stationery package (which included invitations, poem booklets, place names, table menus, table names and table plan) comprised a sophisticated dark grey backing card and taupe lilies illustration, which echoed the beautiful flower arrangements Sharon had chosen for her tables and bouquet.
For the guests doing readings at the ceremony at Taverham Hall, I designed bespoke poem booklets, and also two different versions of the invitation - one with transport details for guests staying at the venue of Dunston Hall, and the other without these details. The bride and groom's love of champagne inspired their table names, and the grey/taupe colour scheme Sharon had chosen looked perfect against the crisp white linen and sparkling glassware.
This project was the first time I had used these colours, and I know that Sharon, Paul and I were very pleased with the final results.

Wedding of Sue & Brian – 3rd October 2010

Blickling Collection
Sue & Brian had met the ‘I Do...’ team at the EDP Wedding Show in Feb 2010 - after taking our brochure and deciding on her colour theme, it wasn’t until June that Sue contacted us again to create a sample of their chosen design from the Blickling collection. With the wedding only three months away, we needed to design, proof and approve at speed with a four week turnaround time for delivery.
The deep claret red Sue had chosen featured throughout the whole wedding, from wedding dress and flowers to cake and favours, so the Blickling collection in claret matched perfectly. The collection also included Place Name Cards, Table Menus, Table Names, an A1 Table Plan and finally the Thank You Cards. Sue was keen to include her passion for horses in the theme by coming up with the idea to name the tables after various famous equine sporting locations, and this was matched on the Table Plan.
Sue & Brian held both the marriage ceremony and wedding breakfast reception at Park Farm Hotel, Hethersett.
It was a pleasure working with Sue & Brian on creating their wedding stationery. A delightful couple, we wish them all the best for their future together.

Wedding of Jennifer & Tom – 21st Aug 2010

Sandringham Collection
‘I Do...’ started working with Jen & Tom on their butterfly design theme back in Nov 2009. Jen had a yellow swatch from the bridesmaid's dresses she wanted to include, and with Tom in grey it set the colour theme.
Jen chose the 'luggage tag' Save the Date cards with matching yellow ribbon, which went out to guests in January. By the end of Feb we had agreed the day & evening personalised wedding invitations, continuing the butterfly and colour theme. Jen & Tom offered evening guests transportation to the reception, so we came up with a design of using the tear-off RSVP as a booking transportation card also, so they could tally how many seats were required.
By June all the RSVPs had been received and we had the final list of guests attending. Place name cards were created in a 'tent' style including a small butterfly in grey and guests name in the yellow. The 'Order of Service' had been proofed and approved by Reverend Neil McLeod, giving us the go ahead to create the A5 booklet detailing the service, hymns and prayers. To complete the wedding stationery, 'Table Numbers' and a 'Table Plan' were designed. Jen & Tom chose the A1 Table Plan on foamex without frame as they used a very ornate easel, and the final setting looked stunning.
The wedding reception was held at the beautiful Mount Amelia in Ingoldisthorpe... Built in 1745, and originally named ‘Mount Amelia’, Ingoldisthorpe Hall was once a substantial North Norfolk private estate and residence. Still set in 30 acres of private grounds and parkland, it offers exceptional views across the wash and is just one of a few Grade II* listed Country Houses in England...
A magnificent marquee (Rudds Marquees) was erected in the grounds, which seated the 160 day guests and hosted the entertainment for the additional 120 evening guests.

Wedding of Sarah & Giles – 10th July 2010

Oxborough Collection
I recently had the pleasure of creating the wedding stationery for my sister-in-law Sarah and now brother-in-law Giles. The wedding was perfect and we had the hottest day of the year!
Sarah was very involved with the design and collation throughout (that was the deal...). Working from our 56 Colourplan guide we were able to match the ‘mid green’ with the bridesmaid's dresses. Sarah wanted a ‘Rose’ theme to compliment the flower arrangements.
The Oxborough invitation included a tear-off RSVP with the reverse giving guests the option to request a song choice in the evening, plus a stamped and addressed envelope was included for return (this definitely encourages speedy replies). A detailed map gave guests directions to the church and reception.
All of the 90 day guests received an 'Order of Service' booklet at the church, which doubled up as a much needed fan to cool us down, slightly... (after the wedding invitation, if there was just one other stationery item I would recommend to include, it would be 'Order of Service' - the booklets look fabulous, guests often choose to take them as a keepsake and it is a beautiful way to include the guests in the service and show the hymns and prayers).
The wedding reception was held at the grounds of Sarah's parents stunning Crossgates Farmhouse, with breathtaking views of the lake. Rudds Marquees set the elegant marquee. Reception stationery included 'Tent' style Place Names, 'Table Names' (named after various wines) and 'Framed Table Plan' which included the menu.
'I Do Wedding Designs' were duly noted in the Groom's speech to gracious applause... Thank you Giles.

Wedding of Nicky & James – 19th Dec 2009

A stunning Winter white wedding, lots of fresh snow on a clear, crisp day...
‘I Do’ started discussing the design and wedding stationery theme with Nicky and James in May 09. Nicky was very clear the colours throughout would be chocolate brown and lime green (to match the bridesmaids dresses). With the wedding date just one week before Xmas, a busy time of year for most, we needed to get Save the Date cards out as early as possible, so guests could mark the date on their calendars. Nicky and James chose the ‘Tri-fold’ Save the Date cards, which set the stationery theme of roses illustration using the choc brown and lime. By July we had the ‘Oxborough’ wedding invitation proofed and approved for print, completed with a choc brown backing board and lime green ribbon. Nicky and James were very pleased with the feedback from guests on the stationery design and the ‘tear-off RSVPs’ came flooding back with excited acceptance. A second invitation went out to guests in October for an extended celebration luncheon to be held the following day after the wedding, a simple postcard style invite was designed carrying the rose and colour theme.
Each guest received an ‘Order of Service’ booklet, which included Christmas Carols on this occasion. The wedding reception was held at James parents grounds in a beautiful marquee with a ‘Tiki’ bar set up, complete with sand and surf boards, and to show off Nicky and James love of sports the ‘Table Names’ were named after various famous tennis stars. ‘Menus’, ‘Place Names’ and ‘Table Plan’ carried on the rose and colour theme.
Square open ‘Thank You’ cards were completed in the New Year upon the newly weds return from honeymoon.
I have to say, I think the chocolate brown and lime works really well together and has been my favourite combination so far this year.
